Great electric fireplace. Love the heat especially the winter we had. Was very useful

I recently purchased a home that has 2 electric fireplaces. One remote works perfectly. The other wouldn’t open to replace the battery. With much effort, i eventually opened it but the plastic clamps were bent beyond repair. I searched the internet to find a replacement. I purchased and received the replacement, only to have the same issue. I managed to get the battery compartment open and tried to carefully bend the plastic clamps into place. I added a battery and it’s currently working. I am giving this 2 stars because it’s clearly defective and will hold up over time. I am very disappointed.

Great replacement remote. Works perfectly. Only thing that was frustrating is we had lost the back of the old one along with the battery and it was REALLY DIFFICULT to find oout what kind of battery to buy. I wish paperwork came witht henew one telling you what to buy.

I’m so grateful I found this remote here. Haven’t used it yet. Need to know what battery it takes.

Poor service

I bought the remote control, and I put a new battery and it’s not working. I requested a refund and they told me to send me a new one, but until this date I don’t receive the new remote control

This was an absolute horrible experience, felt like everytime I got an email reply it was someone totally different that had absolutely no clue to what I even ordered. Answered the same questions over and over and in the end the product still doesn’t work with my fireplace. The worst was before I just couldn’t take it anymore, sent an email saying the remote didn’t work and asked what battery should be used just to be sure, then I was asked to show what product I received then the reply to that was “so it doesn’t work” I’d rather buy a new fireplace than have to deal with that line of emails ever again

Works too but needed battery

When I received the remote that I ordered, I was not able to open the compartment where the battery gets placed. After much frustration, I finally got the compartment open, but the tray that holds the battery broke, in the process. Therefore, I cannot insert a battery into the remote, and cannot use it.

haven't received it yet due to the ongoing strike at canada postal services. Have no idea where it is and will have to wait til strike is over and things get moving again which may take awhile. I'm just hoping I will receive it one day.

You have to be really close to fireplace and aim it just right for it to works only sometimes.
